Celebrity Cruise Line
Experience Alaska in style

Celebrity Cruise Line will be represented by 3 ships in Alaska during 2011.

Your shipmates: Your fellow passengers have likely sailed with Celebrity cruise line or another supplier previously. This should tell you something. They prefer to spend their time in a relaxed environment surrounded by gracious hospitality with less focus on group activities. As veteran travelers they appreciate the value of the more upscale experience offered. You’ll find everyone from families to retirees onboard.

Hit/Miss:

  • The food is fabulous
  • Fantastic spas and fitness centers
  • You may experience an occasional line at the buffet or when getting on/off the ship

Accommodations/Cabins: Celebrity cruise line obviously put some thought into cabin design. Staterooms on all three ships are warm and welcoming making you feel right at home. It is all about your comfort. With plenty of storage available for your belongings and most cabins offering a sitting area with sofa you’ll have room to relax. The Egyptian cotton sheets and pillow-top mattresses make each night a tranquil one.

Standard amenities include two lower beds convertible to queen, a mini bar, telephone, a personal safe, individual-controlled thermostat, hair dryer, complimentary use of bathrobes and multifunction interactive television. Suites include a variety of additional enhancements. For families traveling together Celebrity Infinity and Celebrity Millennium offer family staterooms some with two sofa beds and connecting staterooms are available in various categories on all three ships.

If Celebrity cruise line is your choice you will want to consider “Concierge Class” accommodations. These cabins are located in the most desirable locations on each ship. You’ll enjoy complimentary welcome champagne, express luggage delivery when your board, priority restaurant seating, fresh fruit, flowers and hors d’oeuvres delivered daily, upgraded bathrobes and shower head, pillow menu and priority debarkation and embarkation at every port. Take this opportunity to indulge yourself. It is well worth the extra money.

Celebrity Infinity and Celebrity Millennium have twenty-six wheelchair accessible staterooms, Celebrity Century offers 8.

Dining: Celebrity cruise line has always been known for exquisite cuisine and consistently wins accolades from guests and critics alike. The ships main dining room offers open seating for breakfast and lunch. Dinner is served at assigned tables, with two seating’s each evening. The white-glove service is outstanding.

The alternative restaurant onboard Celebrity Infinity and Celebrity Millennium is comparable to some of the world’s finest restaurants and is worth the cover charge. Celebrity Century offers a NEW specialty restaurant - Murano's. The menu is designed by long-time Celebrity Chef Michel Roux. A 76-seat Sushi Bar, is one of the largest dedicated sushi bars at sea. The ships Casual Dining Boulevard is extensive and offers a variety of food prepared to order and a selection of buffet items.

If you’re a Java lover the ship’s Cova Café serves up Italian coffee and fresh pastries. You should be able to find something to delight your palate in either a formal or informal setting. Celebrity cruise line also offers one of the most extensive wine collections at sea, a nice complement to the gourmet cuisine and an opportunity to broaden your horizons.

An additional charge maybe required for some items mentioned above.

Entertainment: Celebrity cruise line entertainment is good, but not as memorable as the rest of its cruise experience.

Spa/fitness: This is another area where Celebrity cruise line shines bright. The AquaSpa by Elemis is one of the main attractions onboard. Operated by Steiner Leisure and very well-equipped you will not be disappointed.

The treatments are from around the world and include a variety of massages, body wraps and facials. The spas onboard Celebrity Infinity and Celebrity Millennium feature a thalassotherapy pool which is complimentary. On Celebrity Century the spa was recently re-designed and the thalassotherapy pool was removed during the update.

A salon offers hair, nail and tooth-whitening services. Even the ancient art of acupuncture is offered should you wish to try a holistic approach to wellness. The spa is popular so be sure to book early.

The fitness center is equally impressive with new equipment from Lifefitness. Recumbent and upright bikes, stair climbers, treadmills, cross trainers and a full complement of weight training equipment will keep you busy. Classes include yoga, spinning, Pilates and aerobics. Some classes charge a small fee.

All ships offer two swimming pools, sports deck, jogging-walking track and golf simulator.

Junior sailors: Young cruisers will find plenty to do. The Celebrity cruise line “Fun Factory” program offers hands-on activities and entertainment geared toward children and young adults ages 3-17. The four-tier program is supervised by qualified staff specially trained in recreation, education, child psychology and/or child development. For the two youngest age groups, Ship Mates ages 3-5 and Celebrity Cadets ages 6-8, Celebrity has partnered with Leap Frog Schoolhouse to offer an “edutainment” program based on the ships itinerary.

Ensigns ages 9-11 and XClub Teens divided into ages 12-14 and 15-17 enjoy MP3, wireless internet, cool light and video shows, Pop-Art studios and all the latest gaming.

For the youngest members of the crew Celebrity cruise line offers Toddler Time a program that encourages play time with Mom and Dad.
